Currency Poland

The currency of Poland is the Zloty, with 100 Groszy equalling one Zloty. Notes come in denominations of Zl200, 100, 50, 20 and 10, and coins come in denominations of Zl5, 2 and 1 and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 Groszy.

Banks, hotels and border crossing points are all likely to have bureau de changes for currency conversion, and a fair few are open 24 hours. Traveller’s cheques are accepted widely, though to avoid additional conversion charges, they should be in Pounds Sterling.

ATMs, after an initially slow start, are now available in most towns, and the vast majority of international credit cards are accepted in larger establishments.
