A dense road system surrounds Warsaw and Krakow, and though the network isn’t as comprehensive in other areas it is still more than adequate enough for use. Efficient bus services run in the majority of towns, offering cheap and useful transport, as well as taxis, car hire services as well as tram and trolleybus services in the larger cities – all of which offer cheap and efficient service. The rail system in Poland is very good, and trains are by far the preferred method of travel for a lot of people, offering very good value for money and efficient services from most towns. Special passes are available and there are discounted rates for under 26s, under 10s and under fours. Domestic flights operate within Poland and there is a comprehensive network linking all major cities – with all internal flights handled by LOT Polish Airlines.
